THAI MASSAGE WITH RINA THIBAULT
Thai Yoga massage is a branch of Traditional Thai Medicine. It has roots in Hatha yoga, Theraveda Buddhism, indigenous Thai healing practices, Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda. The blending of these influences have created a unique healing system that is practiced in monasteries, homes, and wellness centers around the globe.
Thai Yoga massage is performed fully clothed on a mat on the floor. Thai massage techniques are applied with the intention of freeing stagnation in the body. The techniques include compression with hands and foot, forearm rolling, thumb pressure, stretching and joint movements. These techniques are performed in a meditative state by the practitioner, with “metta” or loving kindness at the heart of the session.

Zen ShiatsuZen Shiatsu originated in Japan that fuses modern and ancient massage techniques in order to strengthen the body and mind. The foundation of Zen Shiatsu is the belief that each individual must be regarded as unique. Its approach integrates Western science and Eastern medicine.
Zen Shiatsu strives to prevent illness by activating and stimulating ones innate self-curative powers, to develop bodies capable of resisting sickness. The techniques use finger pressures applied on acupressure points located in all parts of the body and physiology, myofascial stretches and joint mobilization. These techniques are performed with guided Oriental breathing involving a conscious straining and relaxing of the muscles, nerves and mind through breathing.
