Sheri Celentano is Co Creative Director of Laughing Lotus NYC, Director of Lotus FLY and Creator of Lotus Temple Dancers. Feeling incredibly grateful to be able to do what she loves and share it with others, her classes infuse all of her training and practice to create a safe space for people to let loose, shake free of inhibitions as well as to challenge themselves on a physical and emotional level. Sheri teaches worldwide workshops, teacher trainings and retreats; Korea, Vietnam, Germany, England, Holland, England, Belize and Mexico to name a few as well as across the USA. She has been teaching since the age of 15 and holds a degree in dance from the University at Buffalo. She completed her 200 and 300 hour trainings at Laughing Lotus Yoga Center under the guidance of Dana Flynn and Jasmine Tarkeshi as well completing advanced studies with Ana Forrest and Nikki Costello. From the NYC public schools to international Yoga Conferences, and Music Festivals, her mission is to help people find courage, strength and compassion for themselves and others, allowing our lives to be lived passionately, fully and peacefully.

FLY Baby Fly! (5 Hour intensive, includes 1hr lunch break.) Join Sheri Celentano, Creator and Director of the celebrated Laughing Lotus NYC FLY program, for a 5 hour intensive involving all things FLY. We will break down the components of a FLY class, taking the time to explore individual exercises and warm ups appropriate for you to build the strength in the physical and energetic bodies used in the more advanced asana practices. Experience the playful Lotus FLY in full force as we lift up into these inspiring shapes… learning fun transitions, partnering and assists. We will also take time to move into the essence "why fly”, taking the time to dive into yoga philosophy and the subtle - energetic body. It is truly putting all of these pieces together that allow us to feel lightness and lift within our practice. Think Inversions, Arm Balances, Gravity Surfing, Walls, Props, Seated Postures and Journaling… We will use the asana to move inwards and towards our JOY!
Chakra Flow. Join Sheri for a journey into the rainbow bridge of the Chakra System. “Chakra” can be defined as disc or wheel, and we will check in with the 7 Chakras often associated with the yoga system . Through the asana and mediation we will explore some the basic functions, emotions, behaviors with each Chakra. We will spend the first part of the workshop mediating on each Chakra then move into a Chakra Lotus Flow designed to get the wheels spinning. Warriors, Twists, Heart Openers and more!
Moving into the Lotus. Lets move into the waters of the hips hips hips! Sometimes stagnant, other times gushing… we look to balance this area to explore the full potential of energy that is waiting to be released. If your hips feel locked or super open this workshop is for you! We will dive into how to safely and courageously open all parts of the hip to make our way into a seat that is appropriate. Ecstatic Lotus Flow will set the stage then we will slow down to hold postures, move deep and breathe big to navigate the area of the hips.
Quiet Shiva. Shiva as the meditator. Quiet, grounded and present. We will move through a slower, grounded practice , really focusing on the movement as meditation. Drawing upon asana, movement and breathing techniques to draw the stillness forward. Closing with reflection and meditation.
