HANG NHAN.In 2002, Hang stumbled upon yoga to help balance the yin and the yang of her overall Mixed Martial Art practice. Yoga has since blossomed into a spiritual journey of self-discoveries and permeated her way of life.
Hang's current daily organic practice is a mixture of fitness, Qi Gong, and yoga fuelled by many yummy vegetarian spring rolls. She also follows and incorporates Zen teacher Thich Nhat Hanh's insightful and mindful teachings in her daily living, meditation and yoga. Hang is a Yoga Alliance registered E-RYT-500 teacher, specializes in yoga anatomy, Yin and Restorative Yoga. She’s also a Shamballa Reiki Master, personal trainer, mixed martial artist, fitness and classical Pilates instructor. She is trained in Thai massage and Hawaiian Lomi Lomi massage. Hang considers yoga her passion and mindful living a lifelong journey. With their wellness school, saigon om, Hang and her Aussie partner, Sarah Martin, currently travel between Canada, Vietnam and Australia to share this wonderful Dharma/path. saigonom.com |

Qi Gong is a 4000 year-old healing mindful movement practice that has origins in China. The practice is mostly done standing up and great for all bodies. We’ll start the morning with gentle “energy activation and release” movements to wake up the physical and energetic body and prepare you for another wonderful day at the Groove Festival. Hang is known to make you laugh or at least smile with this simple practice that connects to breath, our Qi or life force. You may even recognize some of these movements from yoga and start your day feeling positively rejoiced!
Energize and Restore. Come celebrate this groovy festival with breath, movement and stillness. Our body is here but our mind is often somewhere else. Yoga is a wonderful practice to reunite and anchor the body and mind into the present moment so we can live with more awareness. Why? Because every moment is a gift. Come experience love and joy and feel positively blissful. The first half of class will be dynamic and the second half will be gentle with ease and delight. All levels of practitioners are welcome.
